At the time, Comedy Central reached out to Live Nation to help bring to life “Comedy Central Live Starring Lewis Black and Dave Attell,” a comedy tour that traveled across the country. Since then Comedy Central has been bolstering its live touring arm, with its latest comedy tour selling a ton of Gabriel Iglesias tickets for fans wanting to see “Fluffy.” Other Comedy Central touring partnerships included Dave Chapelle, Wanda Sykes, Carlos Mencia, Drew Carey, Demetri Martin and others. Reports say that the partnership between Comedy Central and Live Nation have drawn in excess of one million fans to Comedy Central comedy tour.

“With Live Nation and its House of Blues venues, we have found the perfect companions to expand our thriving touring business and grow the Comedy Central brand outwards and off channel,” Said Mitch Fried, senior VP of Comedy Central Live Entertainment.

“Comedy Central Is One Of The Most Recognizable Brands In Entertainment And They Recognize The Appeal And Power Of The Live Stand-up Comedy Happening In Live Nation Venues Across The Country,” Said Geof Wills, President Of Live Nation Comedy. “This Deal Creates An Important Platform For Us To Launch New Comedy Touring Talent As Well As Showcase Established Comedy Stars In Our House Of Blues Venues.”

The House of Comedy Live partnership will also allow Comedy Central to establish a presence at the many House of Blues venues across the country. They will have merchandise for sale and will be able to sell advertising space for tour sponsors.
